The 1908 Lisboa Hotel, which includes furniture designed by Wewood, was honored at the World Travel Awards Europe 2018, known as the ‘World Tourism Oscars".

The boutique hotel, located in the center of Lisbon was awarded Europe's Leading Design Hotel 2018, a category that won both at European and national level, it was also awarded Portugal's Leading Lifestyle Hotel 2018.

This is the second year in a row that the hotel has received the distinction for the Best Lifestyle Hotel in Portugal and it is the first time it wins the category of Best Design Hotel in Europe and Portugal. 

The works of art and installations of renowned artists, the decoration of the hotel, the central location, the level of excellence of the service as well as the Infame restaurant, were certainly decisive factors for the attribution of these three distinctions.

It the same ceremony, Portugal was voted for the second consecutive year the ‘Best European Destination’ for travelers and Lisbon was voted the ‘Best City Destination’ in Europe for the third consecutive year. Madeira was awarded ‘Best Island Destination.’
