Back to business with a statement piece

Since its launch in the middle of 2020, Lago tables are one of our best sellers.

Thinking about the reopening of the market we've prepared a special discount for our customers for the three table sizes, combining the black open-pore top with Estremoz marble base.

Lago tables are available in three different sizes, composed of a solid marble base and a delicate top in black painted oak with open-pore, blending elegance and functionality.

LAGO COFFEE TABLE Ø 720 H 340

These timeless, functional and aesthetically intriguing tables are statement pieces that will certainly beautify any living room, lounge or boutique hotel lobby at the same time that promote Portuguese craftmanship heritage through the hands, wisdom, and experience of the artisans that make it.

The creation of Lago tables is only possible thanks to the combination of industrial technology precision and handcrafted manufacturing processes.

These two aspects go hand in hand with a timeless and aesthetically innovative concept and play a decisive role in relation to issues related to durability of the materials and attention to detail.

LAGO SIDE TABLE Ø 480 H 450 | LAGO TALL SIDE TABLE Ø 420 H 550

We craft Lago tables in small production runs, as we strive to maintain the artistry and grace in traditional high-quality craftsmanship at a viable human scale with ethical methods of production.

THE DESIGNER

Franco-Portuguese Designer, Christophe de Sousa is Wewood's Design Director since 2019.

Passionate by the process of creation and production while obstinate by the form versus the function, he is a natural observer finding in details the greatest allies in the pursuit of perfection.

Christophe got the inspiration for the creation of these three tables from the Portuguese word for lake, "Lago". The shape of the lakes as well as the nature that surrounds it was there since the first drawings.

The brightness and the texture of the marble represent the water, and the open-pore wood top the surrounding nature, as if the water wanted to fill the imperfect void of the earth, beautifully merging into a sculptural whole.

Since the launch, Lago tables were featured in publications from all over the world.

This is a special piece made for those that appreciate the rigorous process required for high-quality manufacturing and renewable resources like Portuguese Estremoz marble and oak from suatainable forests.
