New Lago coffee/side tables

Eight months after joining Wewood as Design Director, Christophe de Sousa adds his first product to the collection.

Lago is a series of tables available in three different sizes, composed by a solid marble base and a delicate top in wood, blending elegance and functionality. 

Lago is the Portuguese word for lake, and there’s where Christophe gets the inspiration from. The shape of the lakes as well as the nature that surrounds it was there since the first drawings.

The brightness and the texture of the marble represent the water, and the open-pore wood top the surrounding nature, as if the water wanted to fill the imperfect void of the earth, beautifully merging into a sculptural whole.

When it comes to materials we’ve decided to present it differently, with a black oak open pore top and three different types of marble: Nero Marquina, Estremoz and Guatemala Green a different type of marble that we are adding for the first time to our collection.

It can be used as a single side table, next to an armchair or sofa, or as a combination, creating a coffee or side table with different dimensions.

Suitable for residential and commercial spaces, Lago tables can be adapted to the look and feel of the space, creating different moods and expressions, depending on the choice of size and combination of colours.

This new product also marks the beginning of a new direction of the brand, keeping the deep respect for the wood, its character and its the unique characteristics, but highlighting even more particular craftsmanship details in decorative ways and different colours.

Marble and other organic quality materials will also have an important role soon.
