For the first time, Wewood will support IndieLisboa International Film Festival, an independent film festival which includes films by renowned authors and surprising works by new filmmakers.

Every year, since 2004 and throughout 11 days, the festival offers the public an unique opportunity: to be able to see Portuguese and foreign films of all genres (fiction, documentary, animation, experimental films, including feature and shorts), which could not be seen otherwise, since the festival’s programme is mostly comprised by works that do not reach the so-called commercial distribution channels.

In addition to stimulating the national offer of film programming, IndieLisboa also puts a great effort in creating a bond between guests (filmmakers, programmers, distributors, critics and other professionals) and spectators, providing various professional enriching environments through its parallel activities: debates, seminars, talks, meetings, parties and concerts.

In this year's edition, the organization decided to reinvent the merchandising spaces and asked us to include some of our furniture in the foyer of two of the main spaces: Culturgest and Cinema São Jorge.

In 2018 there were more than 37 thousand visitors at the festival, the increase in spectators is closely linked to the way the festival is thought to be a complete experience and it made us accept the challenge and help to contribute to the success of the festival. So, our Metis desks, Pala chairs, Casanova and Mister sideboards, Cancan coat stands and Hexa coffee/side tables will be there among cinema heroes and the public.
